Our Lady’s Grove is a Catholic Community in keeping with the educational philosophy of St. Claudine Thevenet and the stated ethos of the school. We are committed to providing a quality education which prioritises timeless values as articulated in our ethos and admission policy, and a focussed preparation for the world of the future. We endeavour to provide a teaching and learning environment which encourages the school community to develop to its full potential cognisant of all its needs, talents, and skills. Familial Community
We are by design a small school where the students are known well. Our RJM ethos fosters a warm, kind, calming and welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on meeting the students where they are at and working together with them on their journey of growth.
Guidance For All
Our Guidance department provides one scheduled class per week to every student 1st to 6th year. Our students are some of the best researched/informed when it comes to their future opportunities.
Progressive Pedagogy
Our pedagogical approach is one that aims to equip each student with the tools for independent learning. We favour this approach over extensive rote learning or “grinds” because we wish to prepare each individual holistically for life, for third level, and the working world beyond.
Broad Extra-Curricular Programme
Our school sports of Hockey, Netball, Tennis, Athletics and Football stand alongside debating, choir and orchestral ensembles. We also have an extensive suite of clubs and societies tailored to the interests of the girls which take place at lunchtime and after school.
